Uses for over-ripe bananas

Here are 3 delicious ways to use up

Overripe Bananas

1. In a smoothie- Usually we'll peel the bananas and place in a zip lock bag in the freezer. Then you can whiz them up with other fruits and greens for a yummy smoothie. Here’s taste of one of our recipes. Enjoy! See recipe on right.

2. As a dip- You can use fresh or frozen bananas. This is a great snack for kids and adults. So simple but delicious! Just mash the bananas with a fork and add a sprinkle of cinnamon. Then use celery or apple slices to eat the dip.

3.Banana Bread- You can make this using fresh or defrosted frozen bananas. It is great anytime of the day and is so easy to make. It also freezes very well and can be made into muffins too!

We love bananas!

Who doesn't love bananas? If you’re like us, bananas make the shopping list every week.

Personally we enjoy eating them when they’re spotted so the natural sugars in the banana are developed. However there's a point where your banana needs to be eaten because they are getting too ripe!
