Fresh Summer Pizza

Do Be Fresh summer pizza

Remember when you were told not to be fresh?  Well, ignore that when you are making pizza (or anything else for that matter!).

Fresh ingredients and summer just go together.  Try rolling out a crust in any shape, or picking up a wrap or pre-made crust.  Then sauté a few onions and garlic (or your choice), spread on the crust, cover with slices of those luscious heirloom tomatoes, some fresh basil and oregano sprigs and a few slices of fresh mozzarella.  Un gusto meraviglioso! Un sapore buonissimo! In other words, tastes yummy!

Getting ready for summer menus means lighter and cooler fare.  And fresh ingredients fits right into that plan.

This pizza is perfect for an appetizer to start a meal on Shavuot, when dairy is traditional, or for any summer lunch or party.
