Healthy Go-To's--Deconstructed Salads

So much fun to pick and choose your fruits and veggies while prepping and while eating. This is a great job for kids (or other family members!) to do while the cooked part of the meal is finishing.

 

You can select vegetables your family likes, try a few new ones and keep the plate looking beautiful and tasty at the same time.

If you have the an extra moment, prep the fruit and vegetables ahead of time and store in the refrigerator.This makes dinner prep go much faster!

Deconstructed Salad

Ants-on-a-log, cucumbers, tomatoes, chili

Mango, grapes, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, carrots, edamame, roasted potatoes, low mein

Shrimp stir fry: cabbage, carrots, broccoli slaw, ginger, sesame and soy. Salad: tomato, celery, chickpeas, chives and basil with white truffle oil
